Allen-Bradley Rockwell DH+ (Not DH485) (for SLC 504, PLC5 etc.) network interface hardware board is required to be
evaluated/developed that will connect to DH+ network on one end & on other side have firmware/software to connect to a Raspberry PI device (preferably) via USB, serial
(RS232), Ethernet or BLE4 ports. An off the shelf hardware board that you may find
with customized software will be our best choice, but a custom hardware may be considered. Support for multiple PLCs on same network is desired. Support all the PLC data types read/write capability. We can supply the testing/development HW if needed. We do not have the DH+ message protocol layer. The other side protocol can be like MB or other mutually acceptable protocol. The programming language you choose shall need to be mutually acceptable. We believe (but not sure) that DH+ uses RS485 electrical network. Our budget is flexible.
The finished solution you supply will become our property completely & you will own no interest of any kind in it. All the HW designs, supported documents & software/firmware will also be submitted to us. Only serious candidates need to respond. Your bid must stay valid for 3 weeks after you submit. Delivery within a month of award is desired.
Twice weekly status update will be required.
Your initial response is expected to include the HW board model you intend to use, the physical port you intend to use (on our side) & the comm protocol you intend to use. If you have questions, please submit them. Please refrain from sending messages like 'Hi' , 'Are you there'. Instead submit the questions or agenda for discussion, to save time for both parties.
My experience is with Raspberry Pi and with Arduino Uno, USB is the port to use. Some protocols used by AB PLCs are open, it may be similar to DH +, so those would be my first options to build the interface. I have Daha Fazla
