What u need is a proper filter for sensor fusion, a complimentary or kalman filter which can give u a smooth tilt angle. I have worked on filters and interfacing imu with avr based ucs. Implementation can be done in less than 5 days but i always keep quality in my work and hence i need enough days for testing as well.
