I have a PCB that has four digital inputs. In normal use the inputs are low and the output is low. If one of the inputs goes high then the output will go high. The current program works as intended and there is no issue with it.
I need to change one input so that it will toggle the output with each consecutive high. ie. first high on the input will cause the output to go high and the next high on the input will cause the output to go low.

I was looking for a simple alteration but it appears to need further clarification. The PCB has 4 inputs. Two of the inputs are to be used as toggle inputs controlling output A. Those two inputs are 1 & 2.
The inputs are normally low. To turn on the output one input must go high. For simplicity 2 N.C. (normally closed) buttons will be connected to inputs 1 & 2 and they will keep the inputs low. If either button is pressed the input pin will go high due to pull up resistors on the PCB.
The need is to toggle the output regardless of whichever button is pressed. So if button1 or button2 is pressed their input goes high and outputA goes high. Buttons are then released but output stays high. If button1 or button2 is pressed again output goes low.
