We need to enhance existing 3D viewer coded in C#, to achieve more detailed look for displayed 3D objects. The existing code can already display animated 3D geometry and texture.
The enhancement will add some or all of the following:
- normal map and specular map to some geometry
- alpha map to other geometry
- more lighting
The existing code already has the stub code for adding normal map and light sources. But the right maps are missing.
-- The 3D viewer has been developed using C# and SlimDX.
-- Preference will be given to bidders who, besides solid coding experience, can create more realistic maps or can obtain these maps in highly cost-effective ways.
-- The final implementation will depend on how much more details we could give to displayed 3D models. The more, the better.
-- The work must be overall optimal for visual effect and performance;
-- The work should allow clients of the 3D viewer to continuously use existing interface;
-- The code must be compiled and run in C# NET 4.0/Visual Studio 2010;
-- The code must be properly re-factored and well commented;
-- The work must be high-quality and production-ready.
-- Completed C# source code;
-- Necessary shader programming code;
-- Any other necessary documentation.

If you are not familiar with SlimDX, you can still bid for this project if you have similar experience, e.g. XNA.
