Order System and client server system in restaurant like POS

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
I am going to create a simple POS (Point of Sale) system that written in C#.net using Microsoft Visual Studio . There will be 3 laptops working for this system. Laptop #1 will be function as the customer to select their food and send their order to the kitchen (laptop #2). Basically it will be a basic Form with 4-5 tabs like food, beverage, desserts , etc , several buttons (delete - to delete the selected food, confirm - confirm the order before sending,) and a label to show the total price of the oredr. The kitchen side will make the food based on the food order. The chef can notify the customer whenever the food is sold out. Besides the chef can also notify the customer when the food is ready. Laptop #3 (cashier) are used for billing and generate the invoice. Those 3 laptops should be communicating each other thru ad-hoc network (TCP/IP). For the database it should just have 5- 6 table like customer, vendor, invoice, product, orders etc. with some random datas. Admin can add/edit product from the form which will update the database. And if possible, laptop #3 can have a simple reporting section that will show, total sales (weekly, monthly, yearly.). This whole application is just for my personal project in school which I don't need to use in the real work, so it can be created very simple, but most of the things should be functional. And it's also better if the coding is written as simple as possible as I need to attach it to my report. I need to get this done before April .
