This project involves creating a full housing design with components (6 buttons and one battery cover) based on earlier sketches and some CAD to house the electronic chip (already made) for a hand held game. Therefore the final design will be two halves along with button inserts and covers for one electronic chip (see picture)
The design must be done for injection molding with appropriate tolerances and easy assembly including fastener system with little or no screws, buttons and corresponding slots, over molding and a molded in battery holder with cover. All files should be done preferably in solidworks.
Pictures and dimensions of the chip as well as jpgs and any rough solid models will all be sent for guidance.
The designer must have experience in:
- Design for manufacture
- Injection Molding Design - ABS Plastic
- Electronic Housing Design
The final design should use minimal material while still being strong and durable with easy assembly method.
