Hi there, This is Bogdan from Romania. I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer and modeler (from time to time and some projects I could make the functional prototype too). I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc. I have over 15 years experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch. 1 - designing around the existing hooks is possible, but i need to know what you're trying to overpass... the looks, the manufacturability, the costs, etc (or just to have a new hook... which to be different) 2 - while wall mounted option is more than ok, the spigot mounting could raise some issues as there are many types of spigots with differences in size/diameter, handle, etc.. 2.1 - could be designed (eventually as a different model) a hook U shaped which to be attached to the spigot by a certain method (collar, kinda zip lock, etc) 3 - do you have any drawing/sketches for your new hook, or it should be designed from scratch?
