Legacy 2D files are where the schedule usually slips, because old drawings rarely agree with each other on dimensions and someone has to decide which view wins. I've produced drawings of assemblies and tooling for production and worked with aluminium structures in manufacturing, so shop-ready output is familiar ground, though I'd be picking up your SolidWorks conventions as I go. Are the legacy files DWG or scanned PDFs?
