Realistic Novel Character Illustrations

I need an illustrator to create fictional portraits for 32 historical novels addressing the conflict of liberty throughout the course of human history, encompassing many cultures, races, and people of all ages. Probably 30- 60 portraits, and as many maps. The portraits should capture the essence of the main characters with realistic style and a moderate level of detail, in grayscale. I’ve attached a sample drawing, but please use your own style. The writing won’t be complete for another year, so there is no rush on time. Those interested in this project should submit a sample of their work- a sketch of the attached map, as well as a sketch of a portrait based on the following physical description of an 8th century Native American river guide from the Sioux tribe: Silver Fish, turned out to be exactly that—an aged river guide with short, silver hair spiked upright with pine resin. Originally named White Owl, his parents renamed him when they discovered his affinity for water. He’d spent his lifetime exploring the waterways. He knew every bend, back eddy, current, and sand bar in the Mississippi. He’d explored each of its tributaries to the headwaters. He knew the prime fishing holes, and best hides for game along the riverbanks. He had a keen eye for danger, and a strong nose for the weather. Everyone along the river knew Silver Fish. He was friendly, and freely offered his advice and experience; an honored guest at every campfire. He liked his fish coal-baked—simple and hearty, just right after a long day on the water. Game meat, especially tough antelope, was hard to chew with just the few teeth still remaining in his head. No one really knew how old he was, not even Silver Fish himself. Many just called him ‘Ol' man river.’ (Silver Fish is later revealed as an adept woodsman, and cunning battle strategist) Please include a reference or sample of your previous work by attaching a link containing it. Based on the response, I will select 3 candidates for a question and answer period to more fully discuss the project, and then award the work. Key Requirements: - Illustrate main characters only. - Use a realistic style for the portraits. - Ensure a moderate level of detail in each illustration. Ideal Skills and Experience: - Experience in creating realistic illustrations. - Ability to capture character essence with moderate detail. - Strong portfolio showcasing similar work in novel or character illustrations.
