Hi I am a qualified structural and civil engineer with experience assessing pool foundations and similar concrete structures. I can evaluate your pool for signs of shifting, settling, or structural compromise and provide a clear, professional second opinion to support your concerns. My assessment will include a thorough site inspection, evaluation of the foundation and surface conditions, identification of potential causes such as water infiltration or soil movement, and recommendations for necessary repairs. I will deliver a detailed report with photographs, diagrams, and actionable guidance suitable for review by your insurance company or contractors. I prioritize accuracy, clarity, and compliance with engineering standards, ensuring you have a reliable and defensible evaluation of your pool’s structural integrity. Best, Darren

I can provide an independent, second-opinion structural assessment of your pool to determine whether foundation movement, settlement, or soil-related issues are causing the surface irregularities you’re seeing. I understand how heavy rainfall can trigger subsurface problems, and I regularly evaluate pools affected by drainage changes, soil washout, or inadequate support. My review would include an on-site inspection, evaluation of visible distress (settlement, cracking, uneven surfaces), and an analysis of likely causes related to soil conditions and water intrusion. I’ll document my findings clearly and objectively, so you have a defensible engineering opinion separate from the insurance company’s assessment. You’ll receive a detailed written report outlining the condition of the pool structure, probable causes of the movement, and practical repair or stabilization recommendations. My background in structural/civil engineering and experience with pool assessments allows me to deliver an unbiased, technically sound evaluation you can rely on.
