Main Requirements This project: is a Japan-based proxy shopping and auction platform that enables international customers to purchase items from Japanese marketplaces (online stores). The platform acts as an intermediary, bridging the gap between global buyers and Japanese sellers, especially those who do not offer international shipping. Proxy Buying Service • Allow customers to submit product requests using URL of the desired product (which comes from other japanes online store) or make direct purchases using the integrated search system. • Provide notifications and support for real-time purchases like auctions or special sales or any question user wants to ask . • Build a unified search engine to explore products across multiple onlines stores like Amazon Japan, Rakuten, Mercari, and Yahoo! Auctions and more. • Display search results in a single interface with filters for categories, prices, and availability. 1. Product Data Integration (Data Scraping Preferred or other best way possible) • Enable customers to input product URLs from Japanese platforms stores. • Automatically retrieve and display essential product details like images, descriptions, and prices on the website. • Ensure accurate, platform-specific search results for integrated stores. • In case URL link is not compatible, client will have an option to submit anyway as an order, and we will look for the specific product manually and reply back to the user. 2. Shopping Cart • Enable customers to add products to a shopping cart after retrieving them via URLs or search. • Implement a prepaid wallet system where users can recharge their account balance and make purchases directly from the wallet. • Allow wallet balances to be managed seamlessly through user accounts. 3. Shipping Cost Calculator • Provide an interactive tool for customers to estimate international shipping costs based on: o Weight, dimensions, and destination country. o Preferred carriers like Japan Post, dhl, fedex etc. • Display multiple shipping options with transparent pricing and estimated delivery times. • This can be by code, the client just need to estimate in a page the shipping cost by kilograms etc. a page where client can input package details and have an estimation of cost comparing from different services. • Once we receive clients bought product, insider their account will display the next phase which is shipping and client will decide which shipping option is better. 4. Package Consolidation • Allow customers to consolidate multiple purchases into a single package to save on shipping costs. • Notify users about consolidated package details and provide options to confirm or adjust before dispatch. 5. Multilingual Support • Support multiple languages such as English, Spanish, and more, so clients can understand when the product is in Japanese, can be read in their language. • Ensure scalability for additional languages. • Optimize SEO for each language to attract a global audience. 6. Payment Management • Display a transparent fee structure: o Service fees. o Payment processing fees (e.g., PayPal). o Additional charges (e.g., shipping, taxes). • Integrate payment methods like PayPal, and credit cards, etc for user convenience. 7. Shipping Tracking Tools • Show to user tracking updates for shipped packages, this may be manual interaction in backend, client just must be able to see simple package status in their account. • Allow customers to monitor progress from dispatch to delivery. 8. Personal Shopper Service • Offer a premium service for exclusive or rare items only available in physical stores in Japan. Like a premium membership but is payed just every time user request it. • Charge a fixed fee for this personalized service. 9. Loyalty Program • Introduce a points-based reward system: o Points earned for every purchase. o Redeemable for discounts on future orders. o Exclusive benefits for frequent buyers and premium members. 10. Subscription Plans (Premium Membership) • Include benefits such as: o Discounts on service fees. o Extended free storage for purchased items. o Priority handling and faster processing. 11. Base Platform: o Utilize the existing website structure as the foundation. o Focus on adding new functionalities and optimizing existing ones. 2. Preferred Technology: o Leverage data scraping for product data retrieval to ensure efficiency and broader compatibility, use api if necessary. o Any technology necessary for the project. 3. Package Reception: o When a package arrives at our office:  Staff should be able to scan a QR code or barcode on the package or product inside package to register its arrival.  The system should automatically link the scanned package to the corresponding order.  Staff should be able to upload photos of the product and add notes to the order if needed. 3. Automatic Status Updates: o Once the package is scanned and registered, the system should:  Update the order status to "Received at Office." And so other status.  Notify the customer via email when status change (or another method like chatting if possible) with details such as: 4. Consolidation Options: o If a customer has multiple orders, the system should:  Allow them to request package consolidation.  calculate updated shipping costs for consolidated packages. 5. Customer Dashboard: o Customers should be able to:  See all their orders and their current status.  View photos and details of received packages if apply.  Confirm shipping or consolidation requests.  Pay for any additional fees directly from their account.  And more, what is expected for this kind of system 6. Admin Dashboard: o Staff should have a management panel to:  View all orders and their statuses.  Scan and register packages.  Upload photos and notes for each package.  Update order statuses manually if needed.  Sales, registrations and more.  More functionalities which are common in this system website store.
