JSON Code to Import Data from Stock Exchange API to Google Apps Script

I am looking for assistance to write code that will pull stock market data from a public API and import it into Google Apps Script.
Specifically, I am after the FINRA Reg SHO Daily Short Sale Volume. This should be done through the JSON format. In addition, I need someone who understands how to utilize Google Apps Script. The data pulled and imported must be reliable and accurate, and guaranteed up-to-date.
The FINRA API Platform authentication and authorization scheme is based on OAuth 2.0.
OAuth 2.0 enhances security by replacing the use of long-lasting credentials with limited life span tokens, reducing the potential of exposing an API Credential.
The project can be divided into 2 parts (Source: [login to view URL]) :
(1) API client sends a POST request to the FINRA Identify Platform (FIP) using the API Client ID and API Client Secret associated with an API credential (created via the API Console) as a Basic Auth token in the Authorization Header. The API will then return an access_token to be used in (2) below.
(2) Use "access_token" returned from FIP (from part (1) above) as a Bearer token in the Authorization Header to retrieve the "Reg SHO Daily Short Sale Volume" to append into a Google Sheet as the right-most column each day.
