We are veteran owned small business with several years of experience in the “vacation home” rental & sales industry (a sort of “fusion” of the real estate and travel industries), looking to create a NEW unique and graphically appealing dynamic website that is essentially THREE parallel basic databases that branch out from ONE visually appealing and functional HOME PAGE (with an interactive map and a few other features common to other websites).
One for example would be a database of vacation home RENTAL listings (similar to those on existing sites, examples of which can be provided) and another would be a database of vacation home SALES listings (similar to an “MLS” or real estate databases that exist throughout the U.S….again, examples can be provided). The third database is similar to the “rental database”, yet more simple. Each database would have slightly different public SEARCH and private DATA ENTRY fields (on the front and back ends respectively), the latter of which would be entered by members with PAID MEMBERSHIP ACCESS (and FREE of course to users conducting a SEARCH on the public side). In this regard, our website is more UNLIKE traditional content driven real estate websites and more accurately reflects the “vacation rental website model“, in that a subscription to a service (ex. Annual/ Monthly Membership Fee) or purchase of a “one time” product or service (ex. E-Book or Special Listing Service) requires an “E-Commerce” component. This is NOT an overly complex E-Commerce model in that NO goods will be offered or shipped out AT ALL….rather ONLY services offered (or “products“ such as e-books downloaded)….and there will be NO complicated “REAL TIME” reservations on the rental side (at least not initially) as one finds on most travel portal websites. As memberships are SOLD on this website, there will obviously be the need to add more and MORE individual web pages…one by one….customer by customer in many cases….so eventually there MAY be thousands of pages (one CAN be hopeful ;). More details will be provided after a Non Disclosure Agreement is entered into, and indeed we are open to any “add on” services that may be suggested by those with experience in these industries.
