Structural Engineer for Home

I need a skilled structural engineer for a single-family home project currently under construction. I require a UK Chartered Structural Engineer for a very limited review relating to a Building Control query. This is NOT a full structural design package. Full structural calculations for the garage, steel beams and roof structure already exist. Scope of work: * Review the existing calculations, drawings and photos. * Assess the adequacy of a single masonry centre pier measuring 440mm x 440mm. * Confirm whether the proposed pier size is structurally adequate for the loads shown in the existing design. * Provide calculations and/or a brief structural report relating to the centre pier only. Project summary: * Detached single-storey garage approximately 8m x 6.4m. * Two roof beams: 254x102x22 UB (S275) spanning 6.4m. * Front beam spanning 4.38m over roller shutter opening and supporting reactions from the roof beams. * Centre masonry pier currently designed as 440mm x 440mm. Important: * Building Control have indicated they are willing to accept the 440mm x 440mm pier if supported by a Chartered Structural Engineer's calculations and professional opinion. * The document will be submitted directly to Building Control. * The report/calculation package must clearly identify the authoring engineer, professional qualifications, company details (if applicable), and relevant chartered status/membership details. * The engineer must be comfortable with their name and credentials appearing on the submitted document. Fast turnaround required. Existing calculations, drawings, correspondence from Building Control and site photos can be provided immediately.
