Script Proposal — The Nameless Cowgirl ACT 1 — ECHOES OF THE PAST (Black screen. The sound of boots crunching over dry dirt. A cold wind howls. A low, raspy female voice narrates.) NARRATOR: "They say some sins never die… they just wait for another body to breathe through." A young college student (the protagonist) travels to a ghost town in the old west for a documentary project. She feels a strange pull toward the place, as if she’s been there before. Inside an abandoned saloon, she finds an old black-and-white photograph of a woman in a cowboy hat… a woman who looks exactly like her. ACT 2 — BLOOD IN THE SHADOWS The protagonist begins having vivid nightmares: Wild horses running through a burning town. Muffled screams in the night. The smell of gunpowder and blood. Her own laughter… but darker, crueler. An old man in town tells her the woman in the photo was “The Nameless Cowgirl”, a ruthless killer who “played” with her victims before finishing them. Legend says her spirit returns in a new body to complete something she left unfinished: a bank robbery… and a massacre. Each morning, she wakes to find dirt under her fingernails… and dark stains on her boots.
