Transcription from English - $5 per audio hour

I require the services of transcription agents ideally located in India (Bangalore, New Delhi, Bombay, etc). They should be fluent in English and be able to type quite fast. It should take no longer than 2 hours to transcribe a 1 hour dictation playing at 55-60% of the true speed. Therefore if you take more than 2 hours to transcribe 1 hour of audio, it will not be worth your time. I am prepared to pay USD$5 per audio hour so if you take 90 minutes to transcribe the average hourly rate is USD$3.33. The content is of a business nature so medical/legal knowledge is not required. I require a lot of transcription to be performed so I am looking for about 15 agents. Each agent will get a total of 30-35 audio hours each. I will pay each agent via PayPal every 5 audio hours. So you will receive roughly USD$25 per day if you can transcribe 5 audio hours per day. This is approximately equivalent to 1000 Indian rupees per day. You will obviously require a PC and some audio software that can slow down audio playback to about 55-60% of original speed to keep up. I can use the speex audio codec to compress the audio so 1 hour of audio will consume about 15MB. You should have at least dial up internet access to download the audio files. You can download the speex codec from http://www.speex.org. I will upload the audio files for you in your individual gmail account and give you the username and password to access the audio files. I am happy to give more work to loyal agents if they produce quality transcription. The accuracy does not have to be 100% accurate word for word but I am expecting at least 90% accuracy. Minor spelling mistakes are acceptable as well. You can also use abbreviations as this will save a lot of time if you wish (e.g org=organization, intl = international, etc) Please make sure I can read and comprehend your transcription however!
