Bypass/disable DLL file

Have you tried renaming the file? Have you tried moving the file into another directory? How do you know that the main program will not have a fit if it can't load this DLL? Did you have Admin rights when you were attempting to delete the DLL file? (Not a very good idea if the main program freaks out without the DLL being around; better moving it elsewhere for a test.)
