POSC stands for \"Prioritized Objective Setting and Communication\". There is a prototype of the main POSC user interface at [url removed, login to view]
It uses JQuery\'s UI library to allow a user to drag and drop objectives into prioritized, sequenced lists. Each row is a Priority level, and Objectives have a time sequence within a Priority level, starting with the first objective on the left, finishing on the right. There is also a Trash area that allows users to set aside Objectives.
For this project, I would like to achieve the following as the next stage of the development of a multi-user, multi client application:
1) Extend the POSC prototype to use Meteor technology, with a central server that acts as a persistent repository for objectives and their positioning in the UI.
2) Render the UI with a Spacebar template - which is the standard Meteor approach.
3) Enforce a maximum number of 5 Objectives in any Priority list sequence; a user should not be able to drop a further objective on a full Priority list; it should revert back to its original place. I have been unable to achieve this functionality with more than one Priority list at a time using just the JQuery UI tools.
For now it is acceptable to use a reference function to populate the data, per the prototype. There are a number of other functions that I want to develop once the UI is demonstrated, which can be the subject of future work if this goes successfully. For the moment, I\'m happy to stay with Autopublish and Insecure Meteor settings.
