We have an existing, custom built web application, and we are in the process of freshening up its visual presentation. The visual design has already been completed and we now need someone to convert the PSD files into HTML / CSS files.
You will not have any involvement with the programming of the web application itself, all we want are static HTML pages that we will then use internally to update our application’s template files. So only HTML/CSS skills are required.
The job consists of creating 3 XHTML pages along with accompanying external resource files.
1. Simple User interface page with banner / navigation menus / drop-down sub menus at the top and then basic paragraph and heading content below.
2. A simple form with several different elements (textfields, dropdowns, checkboxes etc)
3. Search/list results table layout
We will provide PSDs to define exact style, colours, layout, fonts, etc. You only need to recreate exactly what you see in XHTML.
We want the resulting HTML files to comply to XHTML 1.0 Transitional spec.
We expect a neat and re-usable coding style, especially on the form and table layouts, as the finished work will be cut up and used in house by our programmers to update many different application templates. Applicants who can provide examples of prior work showing clear and concise coding style will be preferred.
Layouts are targeting desktop screen sizes with no particular requirements on responsive design. Other than right alignment of some header/footer elements and tables to fit to screen width, the layout is generally fixed from the left.
Edit: Apologies for job description update but the bottom of the description text was missing.
Also, we expect completed pages to work well in Internet Explorer 8+ and latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox desktop browsers.
