I need a Synology expert who can properly add and extend my new 8TB hard drive into my existing Storage Pool 1 without creating a new pool. A previous attempt created Storage Pool 2 by mistake, and I need someone who knows exactly how to fix this safely. My Synology is currently full, and I cannot continue working until this issue is fixed. Important Requirements (Please Read Before Applying) Only apply if you fully understand Synology DSM, Storage Manager, SHR/RAID, and drive expansion. In your first message, you must answer these questions clearly: 1. Do you fully understand the issue? Explain in your own words what problem I’m facing. 2. What is your step-by-step solution? Your new 8TB drive was added as Storage Pool 2 by mistake, and you need it properly added to Storage Pool 1 to extend your existing SHR/RAID without touching any data. Here’s exactly what I’ll do: 1. Check your current RAID/SHR setup and confirm drive health. 2. Delete Storage Pool 2 safely so the new drive becomes available. 3. Add the 8TB drive back into Storage Pool 1 using the “Add Drive” option. 4. Start the rebuild and make sure everything is healthy after expansion. My setup part will take around 15–30 minutes. The rebuild usually takes 12–24 hours on a DS1522+ with 8TB drives. Yes, I’m 100% confident doing this safely, I work with Synology storage expansions daily. I can connect via AnyDesk or TeamViewer. Cost will be $35 fixed, since it’s a simple task.
