Thank you for allowing me to bid on this interesting project. My bid was based on one week's work. I can see by the job description, this job will require tennacity and patience. I have all of those qualities. I worked for General Motors and negotiated matters with the local UAW representatives, so I understand how to be tactful and how to get what you want. I am including my introduction letter which will give you more infomation about myself. I can submit my resume upon request.
Hello,
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. I began working using the basic clerical skills - transcribe using shorthand, then with transcription equipment, typing, etc. I worked hard and was promoted through the years to the position of Human Resource Representative. One of the things I most enjoyed about that job was problem solving and working with the local UAW negotiating on day to day issues as well as the contractual negotiations which took place every three years. My shorthand and typing skills were immeasurable in the efficient way I could perform those functions.
Since retiring due to disability, I worked with my husband in setting up his own business. He is a locksmith with a decorative hardware showroom. While he was doing the locksmith work, I set up his office, taught myself QuickBooks and basically ran the office. I did this part time and we eventually hired a full time office manager.
I began researching the possibilities of working from home part time. Even though I retired on disability, I have worked most of my life so I started a business, McManious Enterprise. I administer this business and in doing so am constantly on the lookout for opportunities where I can work from home using the skills I have attained throughout the years. I am an excellent typist and transcriptionist. I am detail oriented and a self-starter. I am very experienced in listing items for selling on various auction sites as well.
I prefer to work no more than 30 hours a week and can work some on weekends. I prefer to work as a contract employee through my home business for various tax reasons.
I hope you will give careful consideration in reviewing my letter and proposal. Again, I am very excited about this project and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Sincerely,
Janie McManious
