To avoid to get banned from website have ability to detect scraping tool, i always use rotaing proxy. From my past experience, selenium take more time than scrapy. But, when I scrape websites heavily rendered by javascript, it is very useful and powerful. While scrapy is very fast, it doesn't get the full result for the web sites heavily rendered by javascript. So, I always use scrapy+selenium to get the best performance and result. For the result, I often store them as file(csv, xlsx, json) or put them into database after doing various pre-processing.
