SketchUp → FileMaker BOM & Cost Automation

We are looking for an experienced developer to build a custom SketchUp extension that automatically generates a Bill of Materials (BOM) for FileMaker cost calculations. Project goal Allow designers to freely model in SketchUp while quantities are calculated automatically, consistently, and reliably from the 3D model. This will speed up quoting and eliminate manual, error-prone steps. Core functionality • Analyze materials (area in m²) • Analyze components (length in m / pieces / sets) • Read FileMaker codes & categories from object/material metadata • Generate a validated CSV ready for direct import into FileMaker • BOM preview & error validation before export Technical scope • FM Data / Mapping Manager • BOM calculation engine (geometry-based) • CSV export & validation layer Required experience • Strong experience with SketchUp Ruby API • Experience with data processing & CSV exports • Experience with FileMaker (or similar database-driven costing systems) is a plus What we expect • Clean, maintainable code • Clear communication • Ability to think along on a scalable solution Please include in your response: • Relevant SketchUp plugins or similar projects • Brief technical approach • Time and cost estimate
