I need a clean, interactive Excel dashboard that turns my raw financial data into an at-a-glance view of yearly performance. The focus is on Revenue and Expenses only—no broader metrics—so every element should help me understand how much comes in, how much goes out, and how that changes year over year. You will receive CSV exports of the general ledger. Your job is to import or link that data, clean it, and build a well-structured model (ideally using PivotTables or Power Query where appropriate) that feeds a single-page dashboard. I’m looking for clear visuals such as stacked columns or waterfalls for revenue vs. expenses, trend lines for multi-year comparison, and a simple variance section that highlights over- or under-performance at a glance. Slicers or drop-downs for fiscal year and, if practical, department would make exploration easier, but keep the workbook lightweight and free of third-party add-ins. Deliverables: • An unlocked Excel file (.xlsx) containing the data model, calculations, and dashboard • Brief instructions inside the workbook on how to refresh the data and extend it to future years • A short write-up (or tab) outlining any assumptions made during categorisation or data cleaning I’ll consider the task complete when I can open the file, press Refresh, and see my yearly revenue and expense figures update automatically while all dashboard visuals remain intact.
