This is the first Access Database I have ever built. I have (4) tables, (6) forms, and (2) Sub Forms. I want the forms and tables cleaned up…spacing and appearance, any obvious issues, or improved ways of doing what I already did to make the database function better.
I want you to learn the database, how it functions, and understand what I was trying to accomplish.
Attached are some screenshots to show you what you will be working with. Once hired I will send you the file to work on the database. The screenshots should give you an idea of what you will be working with.
We will have about 6 users who will be accessing this database immediately and more in the future. I want to know how we need to setup the Access database so that when users’ login and make updates to the designated fields other users will see the changes so that we are all working in one database with the same up to date content. Also, I don’t want users to see or have access to make change to the structure of the database. All they see are the fields that they can have access to for making updates, running reports, and entering data.
I want the “frmUserLoginScreen” to be the first screen that users will access, automatically, so that they must start there. Once they successfully enter the credentials…they will then be taken to the “frmMainScreen”. From there they can navigate the rest of the database.
I want another form and table (new) for a module called “Pipe Tracker”. It will have a dropdown menu with the following options (28 options for different pipe)

I also want the options to be ”Job Name” (as a user text), “Estimated Number of Feet” (as a number), “Estimated Number of Hours” (as a number), be ”Job Name”, “Actual Number of Feet” (as a number), “Actual Number of Hours”. I want another field that shows the variance (difference) between what was estimated and what was actually used. I want a form that displays the results by Job Name displaying the data from the tables and forms.
The table that contains the user names and passwords needs to be protected so that only one person will have access to update users and passwords.
I want to ensure that all the buttons are configured correctly
This should be an easy project for someone who knows how to build and work on Access Databases.
