I've worked with Drupal 6 and 7 very extensively for 10+ years: creating custom modules, themes, caching, etc. Custom Drupal was all I did for 7 of those 10 years. If your Drupal version is either version 6 or 7, I can help you with any problem areas and debug this thing this week. You may even have a hardware problem, as Drupal can take quite a bit of database resources depending on how things are set up. I can look at either side of the picture and help you out quickly.
