You already have the hardest part done — the UI scaffold and API layer — so the real work here is turning it into something stable enough that listings, payments, moderation and search don’t start breaking once real users hit it. I’d approach this by locking down the data model first around listings, roles, orders and media handling, then wire authentication and role-based access before touching payments. For payments, I’d avoid routing money through your platform initially and use Stripe Connect so sellers are paid directly while keeping your operating and compliance costs lower long term. Search/filtering should stay server-side with indexed PostgreSQL queries and clean URL params so category/location pages are SEO-friendly instead of client-rendered dead ends. I’d also add image optimization and lazy loading early because furniture/car listings usually become bandwidth-heavy fast. I worked on Ceevo and HL Fashions in Shopify where keeping admin workflows simple mattered more than adding features endlessly, and that mindset fits marketplaces well.
