बस स्टॉप से भरोसे तक बस स्टॉप पर उनकी पहली मुलाक़ात हुई। भीड़ में खड़ी वह लड़की सबसे अलग लग रही थी- खामोश, टूटी हुई और अपने ही ख्यालों में डूबी हुई। लड़का उसे रोज़ देखने लगा, फिर धीरे-धीरे बातों की शुरुआत हुई। पहले साधारण बातचीत, फिर हल्की मुस्कानें और कुछ ही दिनों में दोस्ती। एक दिन लड़की ने अपने टूटे दिल की कहानी बताई। उसने कहा कि अब किसी पर भरोसा करने से डर लगता है, किसी काम में मन नहीं लगता। लड़के ने बिना टोके उसे सुना और बस इतना कहा, "तुम अकेली नहीं हो।" इसके बाद उनकी बातें बढ़ने लगीं। देर तक मैसेज, कॉल और हँसी के बीच लड़का उसका सहारा बन गया। धीरे-धीरे लड़की फिर से खुलने लगी। एक दिन लड़के ने अपने दिल की बात कह दी, लेकिन लड़की ने डर के कारण मना कर दिया। लड़के ने ज़ोर नहीं दिया, दोस्ती बनाए रखी। कुछ समय बाद दोनों मेला घूमने गए। लड़के ने उसे आइसक्रीम खिलाई और उस झूले पर बैठाया जिससे वह डरती थी। बाहर का खाना उन्होंने एक ही प्लेट से खाया और पास बैठकर दिल की बातें कीं। उस दिन लड़की ने पहली बार खुद को सुरक्षित महसूस किया। लड़का उसका बहुत ध्यान रखने लगा - उसकी पसंद, उसकी खामोशी, उसकी तकलीफ। लड़की भी उसकी भावनाएँ समझने लगी थी। एक दिन लड़के ने हाथ पकड़ने की इजाज़त माँगी, लेकिन लड़की ने मना कर दिया। लड़का चुपचाप मुस्कुरा दिया। कुछ दिनों बाद, ऑटो में साथ आते हुए, लड़के ने धीरे से कहा, "पूरा हाथ नहीं... सिर्फ़ छोटी उँगली?" लड़की ने बिना कुछ कहे अपनी उँगली आगे बढ़ा दी। लड़के ने उसका हाथ थाम लिया और इस बार लड़की ने हाथ नहीं हटाया। उसे एहसास हो गया कि यह रिश्ता सिर्फ़ प्यार का नहीं, भरोसे का भी है। यहीं से उनकी दोस्ती प्यार में बदलने लगी-धीरे, सच्चे और गहरे एहसासों के साथ।
