The project involves building 2 individual LED light modules which should each have 1 PIR sensor and 1 force sensor along with having the ability to connect wirelessly through the use of bluetooth along with developing a basic app which can be used to control selected devices.
The devices must be fully controllable through the use of the app created allowing the user to connect to available devices. The user should be able to select how many devices they wish to connect to and if possible should not be limited to how many devices the user wishes to add on e.g (2 - 100).
The devices must be able to communicate with each other by passing on the message that the device1's motion sensor or force sensor has detected an object and that the next device (Device2) should light up. Once the PIR sensor detects movement or the force sensors picks up that sufficient pressure has been applied only then is the light deactivated and a time stamp is created.
- The sensitivity of both sensors must be fully adjustable through the use of the app.
- The device must collect data (time stamps) and once its finished running protocol it must send all the data gathered to the app to display the results.
- The devices must light up in a random sequence.
- The devices must be wireless for one another and must connect wirelessly.
- User should be able to select a wide range of different colours for the devices to light up in order to offer multi player option e.g one on one vs mode.
An example on how the devices will be used.
Step 1. Tom has in front of him 12 devices....
Step 2. Tom turns on his bluetooth and loads up the app
Step 3. Tom presses the search for nearby devices button
The app indicates that 12 devices are available to connect with
Step 4. Tom selects all 12 devices and chooses motion out of two options (touch or motion)
Step 5. Tom selects his favourite colour green for the LED to light up
Step 6. Tom set a penalty claws which states that if he fails to deactivate any device in least than 3 seconds it will automatically flash red to indicate that he has missed the target and then it will move on to the next light in sequence.
Tom now has 5 mins to deactivate 60 flashing LED lights
1 of the 12 devices start to flash green, indicating that it is ready to start
Tom begins by deactivates the first light in 1.7 mili seconds,
Tom runs to the next device and deactivates it in 3 seconds,
The next in 3.2 mili seconds
The next in 3.9 mili seconds and so on and so forth.
After the 5 minutes had finished Tom looked at his phone to see the results and saw that he managed to deactivated 60 lights in a new record time of 3 minutes 43 seconds... Tom noticed he beat his previous record of 4 mins and 23 seconds.. Tom was extremely happy.
