Hello, looking for a talented individual or team, preferably in the US because of covid-19 travel restrictions, who are very experienced working on electric vehicles and ev systems.
We've developed a generator/alternator for ev's and we want to install it into an ev, kind of like how the Chevy Volt and the new BMW i3 have a small generator that runs on fuel and feeds the battery when the software indicates the battery is at a specific low charge in order to extend range.
The Chevy Volt is powered by a gas engine that runs a generator that in turn powers the electric motor after the battery is dead. This is the same concept that powers diesel-electric trains since they converted from steam power 60+ years ago. Many electric cars also use regenerative braking to feed back converted kinetic-electric energy back into the battery and can charge the battery while it's still in use, so we know systems of feeding back into the battery are already built into these vehicles, this is nothing new.
If the Chevy Volt and BMW model do this we want to do this same thing but swap out the gasoline engine and generator for our own system. Or use the regenerative breaking system that feeds energy back into the battery to charge it but connect our system to feed the battery.
We will supply the ev or hybrid vehicle and our system. We just need the time and expertise of someone who is knowledgeable and experienced with electric vehicles and ev systems and can safely build our system into the car so we can do real world testing.
