I'm applying for the 3D Designer role: the enclosure and the parts inside it. Water and high voltage shouldn't share one printed shell. I'd split the body into a wet lower section and a dry upper section for the board. The gasket seam between them also becomes the main line people see on the outside. The wet parts would print in SLA because FDM layer lines can weep water. I'd sketch two or three forms for you to pick from and then build the CAD in SolidWorks or Fusion 360. A printed set would test the fit and the seal. You'd get native CAD and STEP with STL files to print and a few renders. Where will the machine sit and how does the user fill it: a tank on top or a tap connection?

Hi, I understand you need the electrical side of the Plasma-Activated Water machine, including the PCB schematic, high-voltage drive and power supply, pump control, sensor connections, component selection, BOM, and manufacturing-ready Gerber files. I would first review the system requirements and safety limits, then divide the design into clear power, control, sensing, and protection sections. I will prepare the PCB Layout with proper isolation, grounding, creepage, and clearance for the high-voltage section, followed by schematic checks and manufacturing files. I can also coordinate the board dimensions and mounting points with the 3D enclosure so assembly is practical and safe. My focus would be the Electrical Engineer role, using a suitable PCB design workflow and documenting the design clearly for prototype testing. What are the required high-voltage output range, operating frequency, plasma load characteristics, and safety isolation standard for the first prototype? Please share the current system block diagram, target voltage/current and operating frequency, pump and sensor specifications, and any existing enclosure or PCB size limits. I can then confirm the best Phase 1 development plan and deliverables. Regards

Hi there, Applying specifically for Role 2: 3D Product Designer. Primary CAD software: SolidWorks (rendering in KeyShot). Your two-phase approach is spot on. The key to making Phase 1 (3D printing) transition smoothly into Phase 2 (injection molding) is structuring the master CAD correctly from day one; that way you don't have to redesign the whole enclosure from scratch when moving to mass production. I'm a Senior Industrial Designer with 9+ years of experience in product development, mechanical enclosures, and DFM. Here is how I'd tackle your project: - Phase 1: Design a modular, watertight enclosure optimized for 3D printing (FDM/SLA) with custom gaskets, simple assembly, and proper mechanical isolation around the high-voltage components. - Phase 2: Convert the validated prototype into injection-moldable parts, adjusting wall thicknesses, draft angles, ribs, and parting lines to minimize tooling costs. Deliverables include production-ready universal 3D CAD files (STEP, IGES, Parasolid) modeled natively in SolidWorks, 2D manufacturing drawings with tolerances and BOM, plus 4K KeyShot renders. I am ready to start immediately. Feel free to open a chat so we can review your electronic dimensions and Phase 1 layout. Best regards, Damian Raffaele

Hello Aqua Lightning team, I am applying for Role 2: 3D Product / Mechanical Designer, using SolidWorks and Fusion 360 at EUR18/hour. My 12+ years in mechanical engineering include manufacturing and building-services work, with industrial equipment and mechanism design in my portfolio. For Phase 1 I would establish the component envelope first, separate wet and electrical zones, and design accessible mounts for the pump, reaction chamber, PCB and tubing. The enclosure would have a defined gasket path, controlled fastener compression, practical cable/tube penetrations and a clear assembly sequence. Print orientation, supports, wall thickness and inserts would be matched to the selected FDM/SLA/SLS process. Sealing would be validated by prototype testing rather than assumed from CAD. I would coordinate electrical clearances and isolation requirements with your hardware engineer. Phase 2 would follow tested geometry and address draft, parting lines, ribs/bosses and uniform moulded walls as a separately agreed DFM package. Phase 1 outputs can include native CAD, STEP/STL, assembly views, BOM and prototype drawings. I propose a first 3-hour layout/input review within an initial 15-hour weekly cap, followed by an agreed estimate for the full enclosure. Are pump/chamber/PCB dimensions available, and what water pressure, cleaning conditions and enclosure size should the design accommodate? Gokay

A plasma-activated water device really lives or dies on the enclosure keeping water routing sealed away from high-voltage electronics while still printing clean in phase one, before any of it gets re-engineered for injection molding. I'd take on the 3D product designer role, building the outer enclosure and internal mechanics — water inlet routing, reaction chamber, mounting brackets — optimized for FDM or SLA printing first, then converting the validated design into a DFM-ready package for phase two tooling. I've designed waterproof enclosures before where isolating electronics from a wet flow path was the main design driver, which lines up directly with what this needs. I'd work in SolidWorks or Fusion 360 depending on your preference, keep the prototype phase focused on rapid iteration and easy assembly, then tighten tolerances and draft angles once you're ready to move to molding. My rate sits within your listed range for phase one — happy to share relevant enclosure work and firm up an estimate once I know more about the reaction chamber's size and electronics footprint.

Hello, I am applying for the Electrical Engineer role, and I can also support the mechanical/3D design side of the project. I have strong experience in PCB design, embedded systems, power electronics, sensor integration, pump/motor control, and product development from prototype to manufacturing. I mainly use Altium Designer for schematics and PCB layout, and SolidWorks for enclosure and mechanical design. For Phase 1, I can develop the complete hardware architecture including the high-voltage drive/power section, MCU control, pump control, sensor interfaces, protection circuits, PCB design, BOM, Gerbers, and manufacturing files. I can also coordinate the enclosure, internal mounting structure, water routing, sealing, and 3D-printable prototype design. Because this product combines water and high voltage, I would pay particular attention to electrical isolation, creepage/clearance, waterproofing, grounding, and safety interlocks. Before starting the detailed PCB design, I recommend first reviewing the plasma-generation method, required HV voltage/frequency/power, reaction chamber concept, pump flow rate, sensors, and target PAW output. Based on these requirements, I can define the safest and most practical prototype architecture. I am available to support both Phase 1 prototype development and the later DFM transition for mass production. Best regards, Nichita

The main risk is the high-pressure plasma containment in a 3D printed enclosure. I handle this by designing a double-walled chamber with integrated pressure sensors, using SOLIDWORKS for the 3D models and then generating the electrical schematics in Altium Designer. I will deliver the complete DFM files for injection molding and the functional electrical layout for your PAW machine. What is the target operating pressure for the plasma containment chamber? I need your confirmation on the enclosure material before proceeding. 5.0 rating across 10 reviews on here, and Preferred Freelancer status.
