We are developing a production-ready prototype of an Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) tactical headphone with the following features: Impulse noise suppression (e.g., gunshots) Voice passthrough with adjustable volume dial Bluetooth 5.x pairing with any external loudspeaker (mic audio transmission) RF communication between earmuffs (~50m range) Rechargeable USB-C battery system with connection & low battery beeps We will provide: OEM Progear outer casing High-level feature documentation NDA & IP agreement (mandatory before sharing full files) You / Your Team must have proven, exact experience in: Developing ANC DSP headphones/headsets (ideally with impulse noise suppression) Bluetooth audio firmware (A2DP, HFP profiles, pairing logic) RF integration (NRF24L01, LoRa, or similar short-range comms) Mixed-signal PCB design for battery-powered wearables Acoustic tuning & prototype assembly DO NOT APPLY IF: You are an individual without direct ANC headphone project experience You cannot show at least 1 completed similar project with details You outsource all work without in-house capability for hardware + firmware When applying, you MUST provide: A brief portfolio or case study of relevant ANC/Bluetooth/RF products Your exact role in those projects Team composition and skill breakdown (who does hardware, who does firmware, etc.) Estimated timeline and cost for delivering a fully working prototype Preference will be given to full-cycle teams who can handle: DSP integration (Qualcomm / Airoha / BES / ADI SigmaStudio) Bluetooth + RF firmware development Acoustic testing & tuning Working prototype delivery Only serious applicants will be considered. How would you design an ANC system that cancels high-intensity impulse noise (gunshots) without also muting nearby human speech? 2. Which DSP chips or modules have you used that already support ANC with passthrough, and how did you tune them for real-world performance? 3. How do you prevent ANC artifacts (like “hissing” or “pumping”) in environments with both constant and sudden noise sources? 2. Bluetooth Audio 4. What’s your approach to ensuring minimal latency when transmitting live microphone audio over Bluetooth to a loudspeaker? 5. Have you implemented A2DP and HFP profiles together before?
