I'm working on an IoT prototype based on Arduino. Ultimately I’m looking to send an image to an ePaper display through a local network (or over the internet).
To successfully create this code you will need an IT8951 board or be familiar with it.
The goal is to use an ESP32 board to receive the image wirelessly from LAN (ideally from POST from a webserver) and pass it on to an IT8951 chip to power the display (open to alternative suggestions if you have any).
I have an ED060KC1 (1448×1072) 16 grayscale display and IT8951 driver HAT:

I'm totally new to Arduino, but have a basic knowledge of C++.
So far I’ve been able to wirelessly load an image onto a lower resolution display driven directly by the ESP32 using some code from waveshare, and also loaded a small image onto the ED060KC1 that was stored on the ESP32 and passed to the IT8951 (using some code from GitHub) – so I know it must be possible to do it wirelessly, however I lack the knowledge/skills to do so.
*Note* This display is NOT one that can be driven directly by the ESP32.
