The bulk of your time will be spent keeping several shared inboxes tidy, drafting and sending routine emails, and making the phone calls required to open and track 811 underground utility locates. Alongside that core work I also need help with calendar management, lead calling, and accurate data tracking so nothing slips through the cracks. Here’s what the role actually looks like once you log in each day: • Review all new messages, flag anything that needs my eyes, respond to routine inquiries, and file the rest logically. • Place locate requests with 811, note confirmation numbers, follow up until each ticket is cleared, and update our tracker. • Prepare short, professional email or phone updates for clients and vendors. • Keep my calendar current—appointments scheduled, reminders set, conflicts resolved. • Call warm leads from our list, note outcomes, and hand qualified prospects back to me. • Maintain a simple spreadsheet (or Airtable/Notion if you prefer) that shows email stats, locate-ticket status, call results, and any open action items. Success here means I can glance at the tracker and know every email, locate ticket, and call is either done or scheduled. Excellent spoken and written English, a reliable internet connection, and a quiet place to make calls are non-negotiable.
