Hi I am having 2+ years of experience in Email marketing, currently, I am doing Email Marketing for 2 companies right now 1 is on Mailchimp, 2nd is on Mautic which is an automation tool. Mailchimp is very expensive and it don't provide full control on the campaigns as compare of Mautic. you can make campaigns with mautic as per your desired action, decision and conditions. for example if mail opened 2nd mail will be sent automatically and contact tag will be upgraded to next level. and if mail not opened, mail can resend them with delay and you can bound them to unlimited loop. as per your case i will suggest you Mautic which is open source and very cheap in compare of Mailchimp.
