I've previous experience with Industrial Gateways and Protocol Converter design / development work using microprocessor based solution with secondary processing via FPGA/CPLD.
My circuit design includes Atmel SAM9G, Digi ARM9, Micrel Multi-Port Ethernet, USB (), Altera MAX, Altera CYCLONE, Multi-Power Solutions (AC, DC, SMPS, Sequencer, Supervisors, etc.), Isolated / Non-Isolated Legacy Busses (RS232, RS485, RS485), Industrial / Military Busses (LonWorks, KNX, AnyBus, Mil-Std-1553, Arinc429, etc.) in addition to the standard microcontroller and analogue circuitry.
Board design from simple to complex board routing including Xilinx ARTIX/KINTEX (including +1000 BGA, QFN, LGA), impedance controlled routing and net length tuned boards, high power (voltage / current) as well noise control/component optimisation for layout purposes in combination with BOM i.e. DfX.
Last, but not least inclusion of test strategy and implementation on board from the beginning i.e test points (fixtures), JTAG (for ISP plus BSDL), mounting considerations, etc.
All design work to be completed in Altium 15 including Schematics and PCB. BOM will be Excel, while a STEP model will be provided of the PCB.
