Need a device capable of tracking over 4g/satellite. Im thinking 4g because seeing the data live from the tracking device is necessary. The device need to be able to send live temperature readings of its location, date and time, and of course location. All this information would also be required to be recorded in the device as well. Also an RFID chip or NFC chip which can reveal information about the device when scanned. Size: the size of the device should be around the size of a cell phone or a bit smaller and fatter. Casing made from some sort of rubber or polymer and will need to be totally water proof and durable as its to be sent in a rough environment. Also it will need some basic software to be able to control the device which can be used on a desktop and an app version for a phone also.
The software needs to be able to view the live information on the device which id assume would be sent of a 4g mobile network. Or via GPS. Software should also record the data sent and have the built in rfid/nfc scanner. Also the software will need to be the interface to add or edit the information stored on the rfid/nfc.
Would like to see some designs and ideas. Prototype can be raspberry pi based or audrino.. preferably the zero as costs need to be kept low for production after the prototype but eventually hoping to custom make the boards and devices.
Also needs to run of battery power for a decent amount of time. Price is posted for simple as i believe for anyone into electrical engineering this should be pretty simple but willing to pay more if we wind up working together and i find the right person. for example if the design isnt pi based and is stand alone.
