Excel Macro to Process a Text File & Count Items

We’re looking for an expert VBA coder to write an quick and easy to use macro for Excel 2016 for a simple text processing exercise.

Goal: we’re looking for social media users to vote for one of several performances in a streamed video by using the comments functionality. Each performance can only be scored during a specific period of time. We will encourage them to post a comment with a flame emoji to cast their vote at the right time. But we will only allow them to vote once, so will need to only register their first comment that contains a flame emoji and ignore any further posts from that.

I’d expect the process to work something like this...

* Filter list for only comments that include flame emoji

* De-dupe rows based on Username, retaining only the first comment for each user

* Count the rows within the given time range and present back

Would be good to be able to see workings eg. sheets showing interim stages
