Accountant/Bookkeeper Needed Do you wish you could have the luxury of working from home? Do you have T1 and T2 filing experience? Do you have experience with Quickbooks or Simply Accounting software? Then look no further as we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are currently seeking bookkeepers with Corporate bookkeeping experience to join our team. We provide accounting services for our clients who may include but are not limited to professionals, realtors, engineers, and architects. The selected applicant would be hired as a "contractor" and would work remotely from home. Therefore individuals who apply should be comfortable following procedures and working with little or no day to day supervision. We are in search of an individual that shows integrity and has an objective of delivering a high level of accuracy. Duties include: • Data entry • Bank reconciliation • Payroll • Remittance • Reporting • Filing • GST tax return preparation; T1 and T2 tax return preparation; • Ensuring application of sound accounting principles/practices • Other duties as assigned Desired Skills and Experience: • Completion of a professional accounting designation is an asset • Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in full-cycle accounting • Solid understanding of current accounting principles, procedures and standards • Proficient in preparing T1 individual tax returns and T2 corporate tax returns • Must be proficient with QuickBooks and/or Simply Accounting • Proven prioritization, time management and project management skills • Computer literate with advanced proficiency using Excel • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to follow procedures and work with little or no day to day supervision. • Meticulous attention to detail To apply for this role please reply to this ad with your resume and cover letter addressed to After our interview, References are Required.
