We want to develop an Facebook advertising tracking system that works as well on marketplaces like Amazon, Ebay, etc.
The problem is we can not install the Facebook pixel or conversion API or whatever on those websites, so basically after we send the traffic to the website its dark. We do not get any information about events after that moment. No add to cart, no purchase etc.
Although I do know some guys are sending the visitors to another URL first, and then redirect that URL to the marketplace, so that they can measure viewcontent.
Anyway, long story short:
I want to know what data I can pull from the Facebook system about the visitors. Like for example, if I can pull a list from Facebook with Names, mail adressess etc. or any other information about the visitors.
Then I would be able to do some fuzzy search with the information from that list to the people who eventually actually place the order my Shopify store.
Because of the people who buy on the marketplace, I get those orders from the marketplace API to my Shopify store, so then I will have all address information.
So I was thinking maybe I can do some fuzzy search to be able to match the visitors send to the website with the people that actually did a purchase, to track those conversions and then send those conversions back to Facebook.
Do you know what data I can pull about the traffic Facebook sends to the websites?
And do you know how we could make a system which makes us able to do advertising on marketplaces with Facebook ads, with proper tracking?
We are looking for an expert on this area. If you are not an expert and you need to figure out and do research about it, you are not the right person for this job. If you are expert and you have experience with the Facebook API and purchase registration problems then you are the right guy for this project.
Hope to hear from you soon.
