The site is up and about 50% finished (in my opinion). It needs to be re-organized/formatted, cleaned up, have a few features added, and tested. Most of this is laid out in detail in the attached files (2 PowerPoints and 1 Excel - please note the first PowerPoint [url removed, login to view] had to be chopped up into 4 zip files as this site only allows file uploads of 512kb).
Ø The layout of the image thumbnails needs to be redone.
Ø The ability to preview an image on a preview image page needs to be built
Ø The ability to calculate the image price based on usage needs to be developed (this is a tricky area and will require some kind of script – all details are provided in attached files – in particular [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]).
Ø Some minor tweaking of page formats – aligning an image, extending a box, etc
Ø The Cart page needs to be re-done (new format, additional functionality)
Ø The ability to both download an image and ship one on a disc needs to be set-up. There will be three image resolution options (1MB, 10MB and 28MB). If the user requests 1 or 10 MB – these can be downloaded. If they request 28MB, these will need to be shipped on a disc.
Ø There may be a few other things to setup – I am not an oscommerce expert and am not sure what else may be needed, although I believe most things are setup and operating. I am not sure about the payment system, the database backup, emails, customer management and the like. You can view the existing site at [url removed, login to view]
Ø It all needs to be tested to ensure that it flows logically and that it is all in working order.
I am looking for someone or a team that is extremely well versed in osCommerce to get this done. Also, I am keen to get this done rather quickly. I would like someone who can devote a significant amount of time to this upfront – not just a few hours a week. I welcome any questions or comments and advice. Originally I was going to outsource the pricing script and the site re-organization/upgrade as two different projects, but it seems to me that these require a co-ordinated effort. As such I believe it may be best if a single team/individual manages this.
I think it is important in your bid to indicate other oscommerce sites that you have worked on, and the extent or your involvement in those projects. I would like to review these to get an idea of the level of expertise you may have. Please only bid on this if you are very proficient in oscommerce. Also, please look at the attached files in detail - so there are no big surprises. I am probably looking for something in the 400USD range here, however feel free to bid as you see fit.
I will only be checking back on the project bids this Saturday (Dec 1). So if you ask questions please understand that I am out of town and will only be able to get back to you this coming weekend.
