The project is about creating some intro element which will be embedded into a wordpress website that already has a responsive template.
Preferably to use jQuery.
The intro will be about 4-5 seconds long with NO MUSIC. Some discrete short sound effect could be nice but there is no problem is no sound at all.
It should load fast and be light (no long loading and no slow down the visiting device).
If the visiting device has a small screen (mobile) the intro should shrink or hide completely (what ever is possible)
I imagine that website loads, main screen show and darkens, the intro appears over it without main screen completely disappear. Dimensions of the intro could be around 500 pixels wide by 350 pixels high. Main screen of the website has an image slideshow that automatically changes pictures in full screen.
After intro ends, it should disappear (preferable smoothly) leaving main screen visible.
I like a base matrix of boxes with slightly rounded corners 9 by 4 (boxes wide by boxes high), and in these boxes the words [Black & White] to appear involving some animation effects. One word on one line. Maybe formed out of individual letters. The symbol & is part of the logo.
After the letters create the words Black & White, our logo should appear and intro ends.
An intro page that I have seen and I like the effects used can be seen here [url removed, login to view]
This intro is created in flash which I would like not to avoid.
I prefer jQuery or some technology that the result will work as it is written and will not need to use compiled executable file like .swf
If I cannot avoid flash and it is finally used, I will need the fla file delivered to and to be able to modify it in the future by myself or by other developer.
I will need some kind of draft demo to agree on final result.
