We are interested in a web based flash animation to operate as a front end dashboard to indicate team success within our organisation.
The visual concept is based upon the old fashioned fairground horse racing game (see attached picture).
There are 5 teams upon which we wish to measure. Each team is represented by a horse in the race. The race is represented by a straight lane running left to right across the screen. The lanes are intersected by three 'hedges' or 'jumps' at equal intervals, splitting the lane into four consecutive equal runs. Each hedge, represents a quarterly target and the end is represented by the famous hourse-racing horseshoe finishing line. The horses and track are to be depicted in a colorful cartoon style. Graphics should be scaleable to aid display in small areas (500x300px) to larger dedicated web pages (1024x768).
Each horse starts at the beginning and when a button is pressed the horses will begin to race towards the finish. Horses will move at different speeds, perhaps stopping or altering speed to create entertainment value/tension. Sound effects such as galloping or whinnying may provide entertaining value, a second press will speed immediately show the horses at their current race positions.
A data file will provide the inforamtion to feed the HorseRace. Ideally, this will be a Microsoft XSLX file (an example is provided).
To keep things simple, the data file will contain the following information:
1. The Title of the race
2. The name of each horse
3. The current position of each horse
Note about position:
The position of each horse will be indicated by a number, this number will be in the range of 0-40. Each quarter of the track is to be divided by 10 spaces (10 spaces x 4 lengths = 40). The data file will provide the current position of each horse which will allow it to be 'raced' to it's position.
All source code to be submitted as part of final delivery. Some form of conceptual art would be a prerequisit to selection.
Hello necc! Since all graphics are done in your end, so I guess I only have to do the programming part. I have place my bid accordingly. Yours sincerely, Silvercloud
