I would like to create a simple apps script that converts a pdf to txt. I believe this can be done simply by "opening the file in docs" which attempts to convert the file and extract the text, then simply saving the docs file as txt. I would like this script to be able to be triggered by a google trigger or by a menu button in a doc that looks to find pdf files in a specified folder.

Google Apps Script + Google Docs Hi There, I can provide you with a script that will convert a pdf to a doc file.
