Hi, We have a WordPress site and we'd like you to do a performance audit, tell us what's causing our issues, and propose a fix with costs. Background — what we've already done: We've already optimised a lot ourselves: installed (licensed) and configured WP Rocket (caching + CSS minification), optimised our images (Imagify), enabled LazyLoad, fixed two pages that were freezing, and cleared old backups that had filled our disk space. Desktop speed is good and our SEO score is 100. The main problem is mobile speed — stuck around 55–59 on Google PageSpeed and won't improve. Two problems we need looked at: Slow mobile speed — dragged down by slow first render (FCP ~6.3s, LCP ~6.9s). The page loads a very large number of files upfront (~34 scripts, ~41 stylesheets) from the theme, WPBakery, Elementor, Slider Revolution and WooCommerce. This render-blocking code seems to be the bottleneck. WP Rocket's aggressive features (Delay JS, Optimize CSS, Minify JS) would likely help but they break the site when turned on. We can't edit pages — when we try to edit a page with WPBakery, the editor gets stuck/won't load, so we're currently unable to make content changes. What we think is behind it: There appear to be underlying Elementor JavaScript errors (e.g. "Class extends undefined", "sticky is not a function") and possible plugin conflicts. Our Elementor Pro licence is also expired/disconnected. The site is built mainly with WPBakery, with Elementor only powering the header/footer — so these errors may be causing both the speed issue and the editing problem. What we'd like from you: An audit confirming the real cause of both the slow speed and the editing problem. A recommended fix (ideally done on a staging copy first, as the site is fragile). A quote / proposed cost for the work. We're on SiteGround's entry-level plan (no staging tool included) and may need advice on whether a hosting upgrade is worthwhile. Important — please preserve our design: We want to keep our current design, layout, and features exactly as they are (including the homepage slider / Slider Revolution). We're looking to fix the underlying problems, not redesign the site. One thing we'd like your view on: our site currently uses two page builders — Elementor and WPBakery — together. We suspect this may be contributing to the slow speed and the editing/conflict issues, since both load on every page. If so, we'd like your recommendation on the best way to resolve this without changing how the site looks or works, and the cost/risk involved.
