The project has been using a logo for the past year - a stylised graphic of the brain's superstructure overlaid with key words, pertinent to the project. The project team is keen to retain the general features of the logo. The chosen words reflect the project is an EU-funded collaboration between Bangor University, Trinity College Dublin and University College Dublin pertaining to the use of neuroimaging in the diagnosis of dementia.
I think its current form limits its deployment. The current design dictates it appear on a white background, displayed to a specific minimum height to keep the text legible.
The attached files are the current logo and my two attempts to incorporate a background. Of those two, the less favoured is the crystal skull - there's a feeling it's to on the nose.
The finished work needs to work for any medium: print, web, as a watermark and as a logo on video clips.
