Native Blackberry application that will connect to our web2sms site and send sms using a JSON API which I will provide
After successful install it would ask them to either create an account (on [url removed, login to view]) or login with their account. It will then provide a simple but good-looking interface. The login screen should always the option to register just in case a new user wants to use it.
A page/tab of the app will show the following:
- show available credit on the top left corner
- show The SMS Kiosk logo or display "The SMS Kiosk" text
- display text box for Recipient Phone Number (Either a typed number or a selection from the BlackBerry Phone Book)
- display message box for Message Body
- Send Button
Please note that the Sender ID would be the default sender ID from the account created on the website i.e. the logged in user's phone number or custom sender ID set.
The second page/tab of the app will show something similar to the above but have the option to send SMS to one of the user's pre-defined groups on the server. The groups on the server have to be displayed so the user can select one of them and broadcast the text in the message box to them. Before sending, a confirmation box should be displayed showing how many credits will be consumed before the user agrees and clicks okay. The sender ID can either be the logged in user's mobile number which is provided by our API
There should be a hyperlink that will launch our mobile website in the user's default browser if the user wants to access other features.
What we want to achieve is a stripped down "browser" that accesses the Send SMS, Group SMS, and Voucher Loading on our website as well as the phonebook of the blackberry. Unlike our website where the user is prompted to add new numbers to his contact list, the blackberry app will not prompt after successful sending of SMS but will just display credits deducted and any error messages.
The app should be OTA and desktop installable.
API will be provided. Also, the Send SMS pages will have the feature to save to online drafts folder.
As per our discussion, which we previously held
