Logo and letterhead design

We are a not-for-profit foundation giving funds to a variety of organizations, primarily in eastern and southern Africa, that work on behalf of orphaned children.
We would like a logo and letterhead for our foundation.
The project would have two parts.
Part one:
Three initial designs for our logo, based on input from us about the mission/vision of our foundation. We'll choose one, and would then like three refinements on that choice, and then a final selection in an Adobe Illustrator file.
Part two:
Once the logo has been created, we would like two designs and one refinement for logo/letterhead (US Letter Format), also in an Adobe Illustrator format.
