This project is to edit 15 photos, they were not shot by one of our photographers so the lighting is less then perfect. Some of the problems include low/irregular lighting, reflections on the glass of surrounding wooden pallets etc. We require the winner to edit the images to remove the background completely, remove any blocks/stands which the cabinets are placed onto but retain any of the wheels/legs on the cabinets.
Work that will need to be conducted on the 15 images are:
• Basic Colour and Exposure adjustment
• Basic Whitening (the cabinets are actually white, just the lighting the photographer used was terrible)
• Removing all background
• Input a simple shadow under the cabinet (place the shadow on a separate layer to be easily removed if needed)
I have attached two sample images below (file size has been reduced for freelancer, originals are around 9mb in size). As you can see in the images there is a lot of reflection on the cabinets which needs to be moved. Working with curved glass can be tricky so the background removal and colour adjustments are quiet basic, but I look forward to seeing what some of the more advanced users can do to make the glass look good.
The winning bid will be selected by the quality of work on the samples combined with the bid amount. If you send me a sample it will greatly increase your chances of winning the project. There will be another two projects being posted within the next three weeks, so if we are happy with your work we will also notice you of the post and give preference to your tenders in future.
Bidding – please price per photo but submit a bid based on 15 photos. Each photo will be treated individually so all photos must at least reach the standard of your sample work. Please also state the amount of time it will take you to complete all 15 photos as soon as we send you the images.
I will present all the samples I have received to the board members today at 6pm GMT. I will be excepting submissions and edits up until 5PM GMT(9 hours from the time of posting this note).
The winner will be awarded tomorrow morning, I will try to reply to everyone who has put time and effort into reworking a sample, so please give me until tomorrow evening to get back to you with feedback.
General feedback: Everybody was able to cut out the backgrounds perfectly, where people showed a lot of talent was to remove the reflection in the glass but still retain the transparency of the glass. Using a frosted glass effect on the glass made it less transparent, but some people have been able to remove the reflection but keep the glass looking clear. Attention to detail is also being looked at, some people have gone above and beyond in their editing and spotted that there are more then one reflections that needed to be removed.
Good luck to everyone
