Looking for a heightmap, texture, and bumpmap that I can use with 3ds max. This will be used in conjunction with dreamscape plugin.
There are 3 levels of height:
black (lowest elevation): water.
grey: land, just above sea level.
white: elevated land a step about the previous level.
This is for a RTS game, so most of the land is flat. So the biggest thing needed is for the cliffs (elevation transitions) to look nice when elevated in 3ds.
There should be transitions from back to grey, grey to black, and black to white. (islands/continents comming out of sea, higher level terrain comming out of land, higher level terrain comming straight out of the sea)
The harder part of this project is this, since this is a RTS game, I would like for the terrain to be similar to starcraft II jungle terrain. (if you dont know what starcraft II is, or how to google screenshots, dont bid)
Finally images will be rendered and tiled in 2d, so its important that you keep this in mind when doing height map.
*Experience in modeling and texturing environments using 3ds Max and Photoshop
*Superior eye for light, shade, color, and detail in creating texture maps
*An exceptional understanding of form, shape, structure, and silhouette in regard to modeling
*Self-motivation, good communication skills
*Game industry experience
*Experience using Zbrush and Mudbox or Dreamscape
